SB 2877/HB 4883 (Weaver/Mayfield): Allows barber, cosmetology, esthetics, hair braiding and nail tech applicants to take the licensure examination after 80 percent of the educational hours required for their program. SB 1829 (Hutchinson/Gordon-Booth): Changes rules for five years to help alleviate the shortage of teachers for the state’s Preschool for All program. Status: Signed into law. P.A. 100-0645
HB 4319 (Koehler/Unes): Allows the Hanna City Work Camp property to be sold. The property was previously transferred to Peoria County from the Department of Corrections. Status: Signed into law. P.A. 100-0633
HB 4783 (Weaver/Bourne): Combines youth hunting and trapping licenses. This makes managing the Act easier for the Department of Natural Resources and easier for the public to understand. Status: Signed into law. P.A. 100-0638
SB 3036 (Weaver/McCombie): Limits all licensing board term limits to two four year terms, for a period not to exceed 10 years. SB 2713 (Weaver/T. Bennett): Creates the Greenways and Trails Advisory Council to develop, promote, and advocate for natural trail plans and assist the DNR with planning and prioritization of the trails. Status: Signed into law. P.A. 100-0798

SJR 12 (Haine/Demmer): Creates the Recreational Bridle Path Task Force to propose new paths for horses, bikes, and ATVs in State parks, as well as suggestions for the improvement of existing paths. Status: Adopted both Chambers.

SB 1486 Weaver/Olsen): Allows Advanced Practice Nurses to provide and sign off on medical documentation that certifies that a student is unable to attend school due to a medical condition. HB 5247 (Weaver/Pritchard): Requires the Illinois State Board of Education to adopt rules that would allow students 16 years and older to participate in industry-based occupational apprenticeship programs.
